How shopping at Bolga Bags works
The entire amount you pay for the bag is a contribution to the Empower Bolga Foundation’s public fundraising campaign. You receive the bag from us as a thank-you for your donation.
The Foundation uses these funds to finance:
- bag production (payments to weavers in Ghana)
- shipping to Europe
- project and e-shop operations
- and support for community development projects
With your contribution, you help:
- ensure a stable and fair income for weavers
- support their children’s education
- contribute to healthcare
- fund community development
Transparency and Legislation
We operate as a public fundraiser and manage funds in accordance with applicable legislation. This legislation stipulates that when selling fundraising items, at least 40% of the proceeds must be used for public benefit purposes.
In our case, all proceeds go to the foundation, which uses them both to support projects in Ghana and to ensure the initiative’s operations.

How to place an order
- Choose a bag
- Complete your order as you would in a regular online store
- We’ll process and ship it
✔️ We’ll keep you updated via email
✔️ We’ll deliver the bag to the address you provide
Donation Receipt
Upon request, we’ll issue a donation receipt that you can use for tax purposes (provided you meet the legal requirements).
Claims and Problems Resolution
Each bag is handmade—minor variations are part of its character.
However, if damage occurs during shipping:
- please email us
- we will resolve the situation individually (exchange or refund)

We use your personal data only to process your order and communicate with you, in accordance with GDPR.
